Microsoft’s Jaymi Bauer, senior director of product marketing for the Xbox division and her friend Ainsely toss coconuts with Grover to demonstrate how Xbox 360 is reinventing TV with Kinect Sesame Street TV, coming later this year.

With bright, colorful visuals and hyperactive mini-games, Happy Action Theater looks like the sort of thing that would result if Sesame Street aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Set to release sometime in February of 2012, this Kinect title from mad genius Tim Schafer’s Double Fine is aimed at children, but it has the potential to inspire the kid who lives inside all of us. This looks like the first Kinect game that actually does something with the 3D camera (correctly). And for people complaining, Double Fine is one of the most creative and devoted developers in the industry. It’s nice to see Tim making another game that his daughter can play with. Back at E3, he said he wanted to do Kinect game so he could show his kid the game he’s making. Because I doubt he did that with Brutal Legend.
